Breaking News: $10 Million Increase for California Arts Council Passes Assembly Subcommittee!

State arts funding got a big boost today as the Assembly Budget Subcommittee 4 approved a $10 million increase.  Yes votes were Chairman Tom Daly (D-Anaheim) and Assemblymembers Adrin Nazarian (D-Sherman Oaks) and Kevin Mullin (D-South San Francisco).  Abstaining was Assemblymember Travis Allen (R-Huntington Beach).  Voting no was Assemblymember Donald Wagner (R-Irvine), who had signed … Continue reading
